Description

Head it to Fez from Marrakech, with an unforgettable stay at Merzouga Desert camp, in 3 days to discover authentic Morocco, traveling to the infinite space of the Moroccan desert. Spend a night in a comfortable riad and also sleep under the dark blue sky and amazing stars in the Moroccan desert. Travel across the Dadès and Draa Valleys; see the fortified village of Ait Benhaddou, and much more.

 

Day 1: Marrakech - Tizi - N - Tichka - Ait Benhaddou - Ouarzazate - Tinghir

The departure of Marrakech, on the early morning, crossing the Col Tichka 2260m, visit of the Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, lunch at Ouarzazate the visit of the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, You will pass through the different and amazing landscapes and you can also see the change of the mountain structures heading it to Skoura oasis, Kalaat M’gouna, the valley of roses to reach the Dadès. Overnight at Tinghir in a half-board stay! 

 

Day 2: Dades Gorges - Tenghir - Todra Gorges - Tinjdad - Erfoud – Merzouga

Following breakfast at your hotel, leave Tinghir toward the Dades Gorge, discover the nature place with amazing high gorges, and enjoy the calm of the place while you are between two gorges. See Berber villages scattered along the way, and pass through Tinjdad, Jorf, and Erfoud to get a feel for the Saharan landscape. See the oasis of Tafilalet before you arrive at Merzouga. Pause to relax at Merzouga for a few moments before you climb on to the back of a camel and cross the sand dunes en route to a nomadic Berber camp. See the sand dunes and desert landscape from a timeless perspective as you listen to the drums of the desert camp in the middle of the Sahara. Take photos of the dramatic sunset from the top of a high dune. Then, go to the camp to spend the night in a nomad tent.

 

Day 3: Merzouga - Midelt – Ifran – Fez

Our camels will transport us back to Merzouga, where we will then drive to one of the world’s cleanest and most fascinating cities. Ifrane is known in Morocco as a “Little Switzerland” as it lies high up in the Atlas Mountains and it is known to snow here during the winter season.

You can find somewhere to enjoy lunch in Ifrane, or it might be easier (depending on the schedule) to stop over in the Ziz Valley. This beautiful inland Moroccan route is filled with photographic opportunities and stunning landscape scenery.

Our modern air-conditioned vehicle will take us through the beautiful Ziz Valley. Here you will see several dramatic gorges, reddish-gold dunes, and many astonishing oases within Tafilalt. Here you will see the thick, lush canopy of palm trees blooming out from the sides and bottoms of cliff faces, truly spectacular sights of the rose-tinted golden sandstone buildings and the deep gorges that meander throughout this picturesque valley.

Our journey and fascinating adventure culminate with the road to Fes and the drop off here that see you arrive at this vibrant city around 5.00 or 6.00 p.m. Here you shall be dropped off at your hotel or Fes Accommodation.
