Private 2 Days Desert Trip to Zagora

Live the life of a Berber for one night on a 2 days desert safari in Zagora and the Draa Valley of Marrakech. Explore the shifting sand dunes on the back of a camel, sleep under a starry sky, and follow in the footsteps of Hollywood royalty on a visit to the world heritage village of Ait Ben Haddou.

DAY 1: MARRAKECH - AIT BENHADDOU - OUARZAZATE - DRAA VALLEY -ZAGORA - DUNES:

Departure from Marrakech in the early morning, via the high Atlas mountains on the Tichka pass, which is about 2600m, a winding, scenic route with breathtaking views. You will make your first stop at the old and beautiful Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, filling the desert mountains. After that, you can visit Ouarzazate - the city at the gates of the Sahara.

We leave towards Zagora via Agdez and through the beautiful Draa valley. Arrive in Zagora, change the minibus for the dromedaries to admire the sunset and spend the night in the tent. Dinner and overnight in bivouac under the tent.

DAY 2: ZAGORA DUNES - AGDEZ - OUARZAZATE - TICHKA - MARRAKECH

Wake up early to experience the magic of a desert sunrise (optional). Then, have breakfast before getting back in the saddle of your camel for the journey back to the main road. Returning by dromedary to Zagora to catch up with the minibus, then taking the route to Ouarzazate via the Draa valley and Agdez (lunch on the way).

Expected return to Marrakech in the Evening!
