Day 1: Agadir – Taroudant – Taliouine – Tazenakht – Zagora
Embark on an exceptional road trip from the Atlantic Ocean towards the gateway to the Moroccan desert, culminating in a magical night in Zagora under a starry sky, surrounded by nomads and serenaded by their traditional Afro-Moroccan music around a campfire.
Your journey begins with a pick-up from your accommodation in Agadir for an incredible 4-day tour through the spectacular landscapes of the Anti-Atlas Mountains. Leaving Agadir, you'll travel through charming Berber villages towards Zagora via Taroudant, a historic city often called "Little Marrakech." Enjoy a short visit to discover its authenticity and the local production of argan oil, an emblem of the region.
Continue to Taliouine, renowned for its precious saffron, where you'll have the opportunity to meet the locals and learn more about this unique culture. Then, continue to Tazenakht, known for its traditional handmade carpets and the warm hospitality of its people.
Lunch will be provided along the way, featuring delicious, authentic Berber cuisine.
After lunch, enjoy breathtaking natural scenery as you travel through the Anti-Atlas Mountains, before continuing your journey directly to Zagora via the Draa Valley and its magnificent palm groves.
Upon arrival in Zagora, experience an unforgettable night in the heart of the desert, surrounded by dunes, Berber hospitality, and a traditional atmosphere under the stars.
Day 2: Zagora – Tazarine - Alnif – Rissani – Dune Merzouga Erg Chebbi
After an overnight in Zagora, have a delightful breakfast at your riad and enjoy the sunrise that this place always offers. At this point, we take the road across the High Atlas to visit other places. Tazarine is a small village in the area of Jbel Saghro which is known by the production of Hannah. Then lead it to Alnif passing through a wide land of nature. Surrounded by arid mountains, these are dotted with numerous Palaeozoic rocks, dating back to between 245 and 570 million years. In that particular place, many researchers are used to looking for old rocks and fossils. Have a small break for a delicious Berber lunch before you arrive at the other town.
The next visit will be Erassani which is known by its mausoleum Moulay Ali Sheriff, a beautiful peaceful calm, and historical place. It is decorated with beautiful tilework and an enclosed garden with numerous date trees that are loaded with dates. It is also a direct gate to the Moroccan desert.
Arriving at Merzouga Dunne Erg Chebbi enjoy the camel ride to reach the desert with beautiful scenery of sunset to meet the staff of the desert camp and spend the night stay in the desert with the instruments of Sahrawian music.
Day 3: Dune Merzouga Erg Chebbi - Arfoud – Todgha Gorge – Dades Gorges – Roses Valley - Ouarzazate – Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou
After an overnight in Merzouga Dunne Eg Chebbi, have a delightful breakfast and enjoy the sunrise while passing through the golden desert by riding a camel.
At this point, we take the road back to Arfoud the road is quite extraordinary. We will pass through palms and beautiful sights, you can ask the driver to take some photos along the way. Explore the fascinating landscape of Todgha Gorge which is a series of limestone river canyons in the eastern part of the High Atlas. It is a wonder on earth, good for people who enjoy trekking and climbing. A short walk through the Todgha and Dades Gorges is a pleasant experience and it is a comfortable one since a lot of tourists enjoy the sound of the gorges the abundance of people and the water murmuring.
At this point, enjoy your lunch and a beautiful and natural restaurant before you go to meet the local Berber life which still saves its traditional culture in Roses Valley.
Next visit leads us to Ouarzazate where you will have a delicious lunch after a small break and city tour lead it to the Atlas Film Studio, the Moroccan Holly-wood which has an Egyptian style. Since famous film directors find it as a perfect land to shot their amazing films and series like Game of Thrones, Gladiator, Alexander the Great, and more.
Lead it to Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, enjoy the fabulous and famous Kasbah while walking through it, Kasbah Ait Benhaddou is most attracted by tourist trade it is considered as one of the UNESCO world heritages, also known by its old history, it is a castle which was built in a high place in the Atlas Mountain that offers a panoramic view of the area and it is a perfect place where famous series and movies have been shot. Learn about the history of this Kasbah by entering from a door to another. After the walk, get a rest in a relaxing, comfortable, and good hotel at Kasbah Ait Benhaddou with a delicious Moroccan Berber Dinner.
4 Day: Kasbah Ait Benhaddou – Taznakhet - Taroudant – Agadir
After an overnight at Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, have a delightful breakfast at your hotel and enjoy the sunrise that this place always offers. At this point, we take the road back to Agadir catching what was missing from the beginning. In Tazenakhet, visit a cooperative of carpets and catch an old and rare carpet and add it to your treasure collection. Then head it to Taroudant to have a snack before you take the road again and admire the natural landscapes along the Anti-Atlas road. Back to Agadir in the Afternoon.
