At 4,167 meters above sea level, Jbel Toubkal is considered the highest peak in North Africa. Throughout your journey, expect a wide range of geographic features that alternate as you go. Expect to see rivers, cliffs, gorges with breaks to take unforgettable photos to celebrate the magical moments.

Day 1: Marrakech, Imlil (2h4min: 90.7Km)

Your driver will meet you at your accommodation (or at your preferred pick-up location) at 9:00 a.m. to begin the transfer to Imlil. On your way, you will pass by the city of Tahnaout where you can stop at an argan oil cooperative and learn how women transform argan nuts into many argan oil products for which Morocco is famous. You will then continue to Asni where, on Saturday, you can visit a traditional Berber souk and market.

Once in Imlil, stop for a cup of mint tea and meet your guide before starting your tour of the region. Your guide will help you choose the duration of your visit (you can choose between one hour and three hours), then lead you to the largest and highest village in the Imlil valley.

Your journey will take you through waterfalls and the hamlets of Ait Mizan, Targa, and Imoula. You will stop at Tamatert and have the opportunity to admire the view of the ancient fields of barley, corn, and vegetables in irrigated terraces, surrounded by cherry and walnut trees. Your guide will show you interesting things and tell you about the Berber culture and heritage along the way. Go down to the village of Aït Souka and then enjoy a traditional Moroccan meal in a Berber family guest house.

Day 2: Ascent of Toubkal (4167m)

Early in the morning, short transfer to Imlil where you meet the mule driver (s). Ascent to the beautiful village of Aremd then to the refuge (3100 m). Terraced crops, irrigation canals, Sidi Chamarouch marabout, higher up in the high mountains. Night in a refuge.

Once rested, you will begin your journey back across the valley, towards Taourirt, to meet your vehicle. Your return transfer will take you through the Moulay Brahim Gorges, where you will arrive at the main path with streams and paths that branch off in all directions. Here you will have the opportunity to discover the behavior of a camel. You will then continue your return trip to Marrakech, returning around 6 p.m.

The ascent of the highest peak in North Africa is done without major difficulty. A steep valley then a wide ridge lead to the highest point, descending by another slope. Tea and lunch at the refuge, return to the valley by Aremd. Transfer to Marrakech (arriving late in the evening)
