High Atlas Mountain Imlil with the Camel Riding & Diner in Agafay Desert

Departure from Marrakech in the morning to visit Imlil, a prized spot in Morocco. It is one of its most original parts.

Imlil is small and beautiful, it was one of the most important locations for National Geographic’s photographers, and nature lovers, the Berber village is known for its miraculous beauty and its original and limitless landscapes arousing the admiration of visitors will enjoy certainly the different ups and downs of the mountains bordering the entrance to the great Moroccan Atlas. This excursion takes us into the Atlas Mountains to see a huge range of vegetation, colorful rock cliffs, mountain streams, Berber villages, and local mountain people. The local souks of Tahanaout and Asni (Tuesdays and Saturdays) are a wonderful opportunity to photograph the traditional rural markets that bustle with activity. In Imlil, you will do a short hike of 1h30 and admire the beautiful landscapes and the Berber villages.

Thus, after enjoying a very delicious meal in one of the local Amazigh houses, continuing the journey to Agafay’s rocky desert passing through the atlas roads, and enjoying astonishing views where nature changes from the green, the trees, and the nature, to desert landscape. 

As we arrive at Agafay, camels will be waiting as well as the guide to take you on a new adventure witnessing the magical scenery of sunset.
